National Office
How We Operate
Incorporated in 1893, YWCA Canada is a charitable, voluntary organization, which serves as the national coordinating body for the YWCA movement in Canada.
We are governed by policies set by our Member Associations and are administered by a Board of Directors elected by Member Associations.
All 34 YWCA Member Associations are autonomous and governed by a local Board of Directors.
YWCA Canada is a member of the World YWCA, an international organization that spans 125 countries and links 25 million women and girls worldwide.
We work to build:
- A strong voice for women in Canada
- A effective women's multi-service network
- Efficient linkages within the YWCA both nationally and internationally.
