Each October, YWCA Canada joins over 90 countries in a global week of action to raise awareness, amplify survivor voices, and drive systemic change to end gender-based violence. This year’s theme, Rise for Peace, reflects the growing urgency for global solidarity in a time of rising conflict, inequality, and division.

As instability deepens across the world, the connections between violence, oppression, and injustice become even more visible. Women, girls, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people continue to bear the brunt of these intersecting crises. This campaign calls on all of us to stand together, recognizing that peace is not the absence of violence, but the presence of justice, safety, and dignity for all.

Our voices are strongest when we rise together to build the future we all deserve. Join us on social media as we rise for peace together for a future free from violence.
