In Canada, a single woman or girl is killed every 48 hours. Every 5 victims killed are Indigenous. In 2022, a total of 868 children were left without mothers. (Source) For people experiencing gender-based violence, every day is an emergency. 

YWCA Canada and Member Associations offer several supports and resources for survivors, front-line workers, and anyone who wishes to join our fight to end gender-based violence.
